Before joining ValuePenguin for the summer of 2021, Sloan Hammer worked in the public sector as a technical writer and in academia as a graduate teaching assistant. She completed her undergraduate degree at Penn State University in English and business, which ignited her interest in personal finance. She is currently completing her master’s degree in technical communication at North Carolina State University
